Wisconsin requires all new homes to be inspected by state licensed inspectors. Local municipalities can also require permits for other construction. I do inspections for the listed communities. Click on the municipality where you are building for application forms.
Permits are issued to you by mail .
No office hours are held at local municipality.

As of March 1, 2023 a new state COMMERCIAL ELECTRICAL inspection requirement has been mandated by the state. None of the municipalities where I do inspections have a commercial inspector so you need to work with the state if you are required to have a commercial electrical inspection.
